Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Associate to join our team at GardenWorx Riverhead Farm and Garden. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Associate, you will assist customers with their gardening needs, maintain store displays, and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist customers in selecting plants, gardening supplies, and other products based on their needs.
• Answer questions and provide expert advice on gardening techniques, plant care, and product usage.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
• Upsell and recommend additional products to enhance customer purchases.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions and special offers.
• Ensure that shelves and displays are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Assist in setting up seasonal displays and promotional materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or stock issues to management.

Maintenance:

• Keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping, dusting, and organizing products.
• Water plants and ensure they are well-cared for to maintain their health and appearance.
• Assist with unloading and stocking new merchandise as it arrives.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
