Job summary

pOpshelf is seeking an Assistant Team Leader in Douglasville, GA to help maintain a clean, organized store and support the Store Team Leader. You will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, and ensure customer satisfaction through strong service and losses prevention.

The role emphasizes daily cash handling, opening/closing duties, and training of team members in safety and operations. This is a full-time on-site position at a busy, discount retail concept.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret procedures and safety rules.
• Math skills including percentages and basic calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling and deposit controls.
• Ability to operate a POS system and scan items.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and operate cash register.
• Support Store Team Leader in creating a customer-first culture.
• Model product knowledge and merchandising techniques.
• Maintain clean, well-organized store and stock displays.
• Schedule employees and train staff; lead safety meetings.
• Assist in inventory control and loss prevention.
• Open and close the store two days per week.
