Job summary

Goodwill of Central Iowa is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to oversee the donated-goods department and coach staff to achieve KPIs. You’ll ensure excellent customer service and smooth store operations across shifts in a busy retail environment.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a starting wage of $17.50–$22.00/hour, plus $1.00/hour weekend premium, monthly bonuses, and annual merit increases based on performance. A flexible schedule supports the mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 4+ years of related work experience.
• Minimum 12 months of full-time paid employment with at least 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing store processes to meet sales and production goals.
• Train and coach employees using in-person, online, and written methods.
• Operate POS, HRIS, LMS, and cash handling systems while monitoring metrics.
• Analyze expenses and sales to meet revenue targets in support of the mission.
