Smart Pawn & Jewelry is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager in Austin, TX. The role offers $16.00 - $20.00 per hour plus unlimited commission and a store performance bonus, with opportunities to grow leadership skills while coaching a team across diverse merchandise including jewelry and electronics.

You will partner with the Store Manager to drive profitability, lead daily operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays; ability to stand and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Support daily store operations and serve as Manager on Duty when needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns.

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team! If you enjoy coaching employees, driving store performance, building customer relationships, and developing your leadership skills, this could be the opportunity for you.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll partner with the Store Manager to support daily operations, develop team members, deliver exceptional customer service, and help drive profitability. You'll gain hands‑on leadership experience while working with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, tools, and more.

What We’re Looking For

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Previous leadership, key-holder, supervisory, or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching, team development, and customer service skills
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Strong customer service skills and a team‑oriented mindset
• Basic math and computer skills; experience using retail checkout systems is a plus
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply

Commission Information

Associates can earn 2–8% commission based on individual performance. Full details are provided during the interview process.
