Job summary

POP MART in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will oversee opening/closing, manage a Brand Associates team, and ensure a premier in-store experience. You will report to the Store Manager and optimize operations daily.

You will drive sales of blind boxes, MEGA and accessories, participate in marketing events, and maintain visuals per directives. This role requires detail orientation, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a passion for POP MART's IP.

Opportunity Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to contribute to our continuous expansion across the United States. This person will be responsible for store opening and closing operations, ensuring that all store operations are occurring as expected, and providing a great experience in store. This individual must have a strong attention to detail and be an expert in store processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and communicating barriers to the Store Manager. The position reports to and receives functional guidance from the Store Manager.

What You Will Achieve
  • Manage a team of Brand Associates setting expectations, goals, and developing talent
  • Act as the manager on duty in the store, focused on delivering results while enabling a positive customer and employee experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment for customers, employees, and store products
  • Focus on providing a positive customer and employee experience
  • Set high store standards that reflect company brand image, values, and culture
  • Subject matter expert on POP MART core business information including POP MART's characters information, products, and company history information
  • Support company marketing events such as in‑store events, Pop‑up events, conventions, and new store openings
  • Support company RoboShop business as needed and follow up with in‑store RoboShop employees and RoboShop business partners as needed
  • Improve sales performance of stores and meet sales key performance indicators such as store conversion, units per transaction, dollars per transaction, and store sales trends
  • Drive sales of company key products such as Blind boxes, MEGA, and accessories
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Visual Merchandising & Operation (1 or the other depending on store size)
  • Execute Visual Merchandising and Marketing directives from business partners while attending weekly calls
  • Installation of marketing decals, props, set up new merchandising planograms, and set up marketing fixtures
  • Remerchandise the sales floor based on product sell‑through or slow‑moving product, making strategic decisions that align with business needs
  • Work closely with Inventory ASM to determine BOH and warehouse inventory levels
  • Required to work specific days of the week depending on Visual/Inventory Management responsibilities
  • Responsible for back‑of‑house organization, inventory management, receiving/transferring of goods, and weekly/quarterly inventory auditing
Qualifications
  • Retail industry knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to lift large boxes up to 50 lbs.
  • Confidence and comfort engaging customers to deliver great customer experience
  • More than 2 years of store leadership experience in retail
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment and implement new standardization directives
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • You are flexible while working in a dynamic environment and can effectively prioritize multiple tasks. Most importantly, you enjoy learning new things, love to assist our customers, and contribute to a strong team culture in the store
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per shift)
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders or step stools safely
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as unpacking boxes, tagging items, and stocking shelves
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment that may require quick movements and multitasking
  • Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including stockroom and receiving areas
  • Manual dexterity required to operate standard stockroom tools (e.g., box cutters)
