Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager in Medford, MA to support the Store Manager in all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff training. The ideal candidate will have a passion for service, a strong work ethic, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will help lead a team, train staff, and ensure excellent customer experiences while upholding store standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience in retail or similar
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Knowledge of inventory management and visual merchandising techniques
• Ability to train, coach, develop and motivate employees
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist in merchandising, operations, sales and customer service
• Ensure high customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products and collaborating with coworkers
• Partner with Store Manager to set and communicate key metrics across sales, visuals, operations, safety, loss prevention, HR, payroll/scheduling, and training
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of store employees
• Maintain product knowledge and awareness of current or upcoming product
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
• Maintain a safe and secure store environment for employees and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
