Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure adherence by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, positive, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
