Founded in 1871 and formerly known as the Jewish Home, our legacy grounds us as our vision propels us forward. Today, we've evolved to support more than 2,500 older adults each year through innovative, comprehensive programs rooted in the Jewish values of compassion, community, and excellence. We are equally proud of our inclusive culture, where 950 team members of diverse faiths and backgrounds work together in shared purpose.

WHY WORK WITH US
  • Mission-driven nonprofit organization
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits
  • Meaningful work that positively impacts the lives of older adults every day
  • Inclusive community, welcoming to all (you do not need to be Jewish to live or work here)
  • Supportive, team-oriented environment
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Collaborative leadership focused on enhancing the employee experience

Position Summary: As a Restorative Nursing Aide, you will work under the supervision of the Lead Nurse or Licensed Nurses to provide specialized nursing care that maintains or improves residents’ functional mobility and prevents decline in their overall functioning.

  • Perform Active and Passive Range of Motion (ROM) exercises and other restorative techniques as prescribed to promote residents’ highest functional level.
  • Accurately document residents’ progress and report any improvements or declines to the licensed nurse or lead nurse.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed to monitor progress or the need for further restorative care.
  • Coordinate with the Rehabilitation team (OT/PT/ST) to provide appropriate restorative programs in conjunction with or following skilled therapy services.
  • Educate and assist other CNAs on proper positioning, safe ambulation, and restorative care techniques as indicated in care plans.
  • Participate in care plan conferences with the interdisciplinary team as needed.
  • Preserve residents’ dignity and self-respect at all times.
