Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support restorative nursing programs and daily resident care at our facilities. You will work under the direction of the Nursing leadership to promote residents’ functional improvement and comfort.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, assisting with ADLs, and participating in team meetings. A compassionate, patient-centered approach is essential to help us deliver high-quality post-acute care to our

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification from the state, where required.
• Good communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to document appropriately and perform technical procedures.
• Genuine caring for and interest in resident.
• A strong belief in the Restorative Nursing Philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Performs range of motion (passive/active) and general strengthening exercises.
• Ambulation and transfer training.
• ADL’s and restorative nursing activities.
• Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.
• Notifies restorative nurse coordinator of problems or reassessments.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing and charts significant changes in resident’s condition.
• Reinforces team management of B/B program and collaborates with nurse aides on B/B procedures.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Serves as a resident advocate at all times and motivates others.

• Placement of restorative devices and equipment
• Positioning
• Restorative feeding program
• Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.
• Notifies restorative nurse coordinator or appropriate therapy department of problems, referrals or reassessments needed.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing and charts significant change in resident’s condition or motivational level.
• Reinforces team management of B/B program and works with nurse aides on B/B procedures.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Serves as a resident advocate at all times. Motivates others.
