Job summary

RYZE West in Chicago, IL is seeking a Restorative Nurse to lead and coordinate restorative care services for residents, promoting independence and functional gains.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate restorative programs, collaborate with administration, medical and therapy staff, and ensure compliance with regulations. RN or LPN with restorative therapy training and at least one year in restorative care preferred; strong compassionate approach needed.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing.
• Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year of experience in restorative care.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices.
• Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs restorative care services and programs in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities.
• Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department, and other related departments in planning restorative care.
• Develops and maintains restorative care standards.
• Assists the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.
• Assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing restorative care services.
• Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, and other tasks as necessary.
• Interprets restorative care policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, and others as necessary.
• Assists the Administrator and/or HR Director in the recruitment and selection of competent restorative care personnel.
• Provides direct nursing care as necessary and as department needs may dictate.
• Ensures that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident's response to the care.
• Develops and participates in programs designed for in-service education, on-the-job training, and orientation classes for newly assigned personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
