Job summary

Luverne Health and Rehabilitation LLC is seeking a Restorative CNA to support residents on their road to recovery. Under the Restorative Nurse, you will assist with rehabilitative activities to help residents regain maximum functioning and independence.

You will provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support, while documenting care in records. A patient, compassionate approach is essential to help residents achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant with restorative duties.
• Strong patient care and communication abilities.
• Ability to follow care plans and directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in rehabilitative activities to maximize functioning.
• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting) per resident needs.
• Complete documentation timely in charts or electronic records.

We are in search of a qualifiedRestorative CNA:

Under the direction and supervision of the Restorative Nurse, assists residents in performing rehabilitative activities that will help the resident to achieve a maximum level of functioning:

1. Provide individualized attention, which encourages each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
2. Give personal care to residents: bath (bed, shower, tub, whirlpool), shampoo, comb hair, oral care, personal hygiene, shave, nail care, assist with dressing, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic devices, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, or other needs in keeping with resident’s care requirements.
3. Ensure electronic and/or handwritten documentation is completed in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude towards the elderly and disabled
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the position
