Job summary

The Round Rock, TX location is seeking a compassionate Restorative Aide to assist in restorative and rehabilitative care for residents in a skilled nursing setting. You will support daily activities, assist with mobility, positioning, ambulation, and therapeutic exercises as prescribed by the treatment plan, and document progress in the patient record.

Candidates must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with excellent English communication and the ability to work as part of a dedicated care team,

Qualifications

• State certification as a Nursing Assistant is mandatory.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.
• Performs restorative nursing tasks such as ambulation, range of motion, positioning, self-feeding, etc., within the scope of individuals' training.
• Promotes and supports the greatest possible degree of independence for patients.
• Advises Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) of Patient's status daily.
• Contributes knowledge of Patient's conditions/needs to patient care plans.
• Assists in the implementation of care plans as directed within the parameters of established policy and procedure.
• Observes and reports on Patients' conditions and documents observations as required.
• Promotes safe and clean environment.

Job Summary

The overall purpose of the Restorative Aide position is to assist in the provision of restorative and/or rehabilitative care to patients as appropriate, and to assist in the provision of regular Patient care as may be directed.

• Responsible for monthly and weekly weights.


• Attends weekly rehab meetings


• Ability to function as a Team Leader/Role Model.


• Has reviewed Cantex Continuing Care Network Policy and Procedures for Abuse Prevention and knows the employees responsibility to enforce it.


• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.


• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.


• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
