Job summary

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon is seeking a motivated individual to join our restoration team. You will respond to emergencies and perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, equipment setup, and demolition, while maintaining safety and clear communication with the team and clients.

The role requires physical stamina, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work occasional on-call shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Handyman or construction experience is preferred.
• Team-oriented with willingness to learn and help others in emergencies.
• Requires physical stamina and ability to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations (water and fire damage).
• Perform restoration: water extraction, equipment setup, demolition.
• Load and inventory work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and job requirements to team.
• Maintain client communication and explain restoration process.
• Carry out restoration and cleanup tasks (water extraction, drying, site cleanup).

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
