Job summary

Disaster Restoration Services in Colorado is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to restore properties damaged by fire, water, or disasters and provide exceptional customer service throughout the process.

Responsibilities include supervising a team, performing water extraction and drying, and repairing structures with carpentry, drywall, and painting. Must have a valid driver’s license, HS diploma, and knowledge of restoration techniques. On-call weekends required.

  • Knowledge of restoration techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • IIRC certifications are a plus but not required.

Job description

DRS is seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Restoration Technician , you will be responsible for restoring and repairing damaged properties caused by fire, water, or other disasters. Your main goal will be to ensure that the properties are restored to their pre-loss condition and to provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire restoration process.

Responsibilities
  • Remove debris and damaged materials from the property and supervise the team's progress.
  • Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification to prevent mold growth, overseeing the team's efforts.
  • Clean and sanitize affected areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment, guiding the team in proper procedures.
  • Repair and restore damaged structures, including carpentry, drywall, and painting, while supervising the team's workmanship.
  • Install new materials and fixtures as needed, ensuring quality and adherence to restoration standards.
  • Document all restoration activities and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • MUST HAVE a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of restoration techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • IIRC certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day one weekend a month
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs 100ft
  • 48 hours paid sick time per year
  • Eligible to participate in group health insurance plan with 50% employer contribution
  • Eligible to participate in 401K plan per plan guidelines
