Job summary

BluSky Restoration Contractors is seeking a full-time Restoration Technician in Columbus, OH. The role starts at up to $25 an hour, depending on experience, with a comprehensive benefits package. You will respond to emergencies, perform water damage mitigation, structural board-up, cleaning, and more to restore properties.

Previous experience and IIRC certifications are a plus but not required. BluSky will provide training and development to help you grow in this essential first-responder

Qualifications

• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to be on-call 24 hours a day.
• 1 year of restoration industry or maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Water extraction and mitigation.
• Fire and smoke cleaning and restoration.
• Microbial remediation.
• Vandalism, crime scene, and biohazard clean-up.
• Demolition (Demo Day!).
• Field management and supervision of all temporary labor personnel.
• Provide the highest level of customer service with empathy.
• All other duties or projects as assigned.

Brief Description

The Restoration Technician is a first responder on property loss situations and helps mitigate damage in residential and commercial structures. Technicians are responsible for water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, microbial remediation, content pack-outs, content processing/deodorization, content storage, and handling.

Compensation

BluSky offers a competitive base pay between $15 - $25 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package that includes: a matching 401(k) plan, health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off, paid holidays, disability, equipment appropriate to the position (i.e., laptop, smartphone, etc.), and corporate apparel allowance.
