Job summary

SERVPRO of Bordentown/Pemberton is seeking a hands-on restoration professional to respond to property damage emergencies and perform restoration tasks on-site in Bordentown, NJ. The role involves water and fire damage work, equipment setup, and coordination with the team to restore properties to pre-incident conditions.

The ideal candidate has handyman or restoration experience, enjoys working outdoors, and is comfortable on an on-call rotation that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Handyman or restoration experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and work in outdoor conditions.
• On-call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities: water extraction, set-up of equipment, and cleanup.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards, site findings, and equipment requirements to supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and explain the restoration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work on a on-call rotational shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
