Job summary

BELFOR Holdings in the United States seeks a Restoration Manager to lead field restoration teams and approve time entries affecting costs. This role may oversee large losses requiring strong management and supervision.

You will coordinate projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional sites, ensure quality, and maintain customer relations. Travel and after-hours work may be necessary to support emergencies and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' managerial experience with restoration, cleaning, and/or applicable construction industries on commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects, or equivalent.
• Sense of urgency, professional appearance and demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Proficient with restoration industry management systems (Restoration Manager, DASH, Service Software, LUXOR), or equivalent.
• Hazardous material identification ability, including asbestos, lead paint, mold and IICRC unsanitary water categories 2, 3, and Special Situations strongly preferred.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26,000 GVW and operating truck-trailer combinations strongly preferred.
• Willing to work nights and weekends and travel when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee moisture mapping for water losses.
• Coordinate after-hours emergency services as directed.
• Respond to emergencies including after hour responses as necessary.
• Develop and manage contents operational processes.
• Conduct regular two-way assessments of staff performance.
• Manage daily logistics and job assignments of field personnel and equipment.
• Coordinate with temp staffing companies.
• Handle customer complaints pertaining to quality of work.
• Complete accident, injury, & incident reporting forms.
• Promote customer satisfaction and sales growth across BELFOR.
• Attend BELFOR operations and safety training courses.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for managing field restoration personnel. Additionally this position is responsible for reviewing and approving time entries for their team that impact job costs and billing, as well as assigned personnel time off requests. As needed you may be called to oversee large losses that require additional management and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, employees and insurance companies
• Coordinate and manage multiple residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects of various complexities
• Provide technical explanations to clients, adjusters, consultants and others
• Meet with estimators and project managers regularly to ensure accuracy of all work being performed and regular contact with customers is maintained
• Visit job sites as necessary to ensure quality
• Schedule daily work orders submitted from the estimators and project managers for restoration, contents and light rebuilds per staff capability.
• Provide constructive feedback and direction to complete tasks on time and within budget
• Ensure all work crews are appropriately uniformed
• Meet with municipal inspectors and secure needed permits as required
• Oversee all moisture mapping for water losses.
• Coordinate after-hours emergency services as directed, including board-ups, water damage, fire and smoke damage, and vandalism
• Respond to emergencies including after hour responses as necessary
• Develop and manage a sustainable contents operational process
• Conduct regular two-way assessments of staff performance
• Manage daily logistics and job assignments of field personnel and equipment
• Coordinate daily needs with temp staffing companies
• Coordinate job starts and schedule appointments with customers and clients
• Handle customer complaints that pertain to quality of work or performance of employees
• Complete accident, injury, & incident reporting forms
• Work as a team with local and national operations to promote customer satisfaction, sales growth, and the success of the entire BELFOR organization.
• Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred
• Minimum 5 years' managerial experience with restoration, cleaning, and/or applicable construction industries on commercial, industrial, and/or institutional projects, or equivalent
• Sense of urgency, professional appearance and demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Proficient with restoration industry management system (Restoration Manager, DASH, Service Software, LUXOR), or equivalent
• Hazardous material identification ability, including asbestos, lead paint, mold and IICRC unsanitary water categories 2, 3, and Special Situations strongly preferred
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26,000 GVW and operating truck-trailer combinations strongly preferred
• Willing to work nights and weekends and travel when necessary
• $500,000 single project capability and $1,000,000+ aggregate project capability
• Intermediate training and experience with two of the following:
  • Water Damage
  • Fire Damage
  • Contents Damage
• Advanced training and experience with one of the following:
  • Water Damage
  • Fire Damage
  • Contents Damage
• Familiarity of Material Safety Data Sheet (SDS) use preferred
• Experience with site-specific safety plans
• Satisfactory completion of OSHA Construction 30 hour course preferred
• Valid EPA Lead RRP Certified Renovator license preferred
• Knowledge of DOT requirements
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR's vehicle policy
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
• Access and mobility in tight spaces
• Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
• The ability to bend, crouch, or stand as necessary.
