Job summary

Eaton Foods in California is seeking a Restaurant Team Member to deliver high-quality food and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting. You will help maintain safe, clean prep stations and assist with opening/closing duties alongside a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include food preparation, inventory control, and ensuring proper food handling. The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company standards for safety and service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Serv-Safe/local or state food service certification preferred.
• Knife skills and restaurant experience are a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong teamwork and punctuality.
• Able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Consecutive 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality food to customers.
• Maintain foodservice displays to ensure fully stocked for business needs.
• Manage inventory of prepared ingredients, ensuring compliance with temperature and shelf-life guidelines.
• Ensure food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, and rotating of products.
• Set up, break down, sanitize and maintain clean prep stations.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service through positive interactions.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work effectively in a team.
• Adhere to uniform, personal hygiene, and appearance standards.
• Support opening and closing duties, including end-of-shift cleaning.
• Maintain organized, safe, and clean work areas.
• Follow safety and security standards diligently.
• Performs all other duties as required or assigned by management.
• Managing the cash register throughout the shift ensuring the money stays balanced and customers are assisted in a fast and accurate manner.
• Stocking products on shelves and making sure the store always looks clean and professional.
• Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to store customers, vendors, and staff at all times.
• Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in the store and surrounding property.
• Troubleshoot and resolve car wash related issue as needed.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift as per company guidelines.
• Cross and upsell store products and sales to assist in increasing store sales.
• Escalate any issues to their next level manager that needs immediate attention.
• Performs all other duties as required or assigned by management
