Panera Bread in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Restaurant Team Member to be the heart of hospitality. You will welcome guests, prepare salads and sandwiches, and keep the bakery-cafe running smoothly.

This role emphasizes warmth, care, and joy in every interaction while supporting team goals and maintaining a clean, safe environment for all guests. You’ll be part of a dynamic team, handling multiple duties from food prep to cashier, with opportunities for growth and perks like team meals,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced, loud environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, guest-focused attitude.
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler’s Card or ability to obtain as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide great service across areas (Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, Expo, Drive-Thru, Barista).
• Assemble fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches with care and efficiency.
• Move throughout the bakery-cafe to assist guests at entry, cashier, and dining areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and inviting spaces following food safety standards.
• Stay informed on daily priorities and adapt to changes with a positive attitude.
• Support team by completing cleaning, stocking duties, and setting up the next shift.

Responsibilities

As a Restaurant Team Member, you will be an ambassador for bringing Panera Warmth to life with each guest interaction, delivering excellent services in every circumstance. Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Restaurant Team Members will execute the duties for their specific areas within the bakery-cafe (e.g., Production, Prep, Service, Cashier, Expo, Drive-Thru, Barista, Guest Experience Champion, QC, etc.).
• Greet every guest with genuine warmth and enthusiasm.
• Assemble fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches with care, accuracy, and efficiency – no assembly lines, just real ingredients and great food.
• Stay on the move – assist guests at entry, cashier, and dining areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment by following food safety standards and cleaning protocols.
• Be informed about daily priorities and adapt to changes with a positive attitude – every guest gets our best.
• Support team success by completing cleaning and stocking duties and helping set up the next shift.
