Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores is seeking friendly cashiers to deliver fast, accurate service in a busy environment. Training is provided for those with no prior experience, and there is room to grow within the company.

This on-site role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to handle varied duties across departments, including food service and maintenance, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Flexible scheduling available.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by locating items and answering questions while providing friendly service.
• Balance cash register, process transactions, and suggest add-on sales.
• Maintain food safety for fresh foods and deli products using proper methods and temp controls.
• Clean and maintain working areas, sales floor, restrooms, showers, pumps, and perform trash runs.
• Cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, or leadership roles.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
