Loop Neighborhood in Union City, CA is hiring a Restaurant Team Member to help run a safe, clean kitchen and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced convenience environment. You will prepare and serve high-quality food, maintain displays, manage inventory, handle cash, and support opening/closing duties while upholding food safety standards and teamwork.

• Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
• Knife skills and restaurant experience a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and bend frequently.
• Strong teamwork and punctuality.
• Able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Consecutive 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality food to customers
• Maintain foodservice displays and keep them stocked
• Manage inventory of prepared ingredients with proper temps and shelf-life
• Ensure food handling procedures: wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, rotating
• Set up, break down, sanitize and maintain clean prep stations
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service and teamwork
• Adhere to uniform and hygiene standards
• Support opening/closing duties and end-of-shift cleaning
• Maintain organized and safe work areas
• Follow safety and security standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Cross-train tasks like cash register operation, stocking, and upselling

Position Description:

As a Restaurant Team Member, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean workplace while delivering quality food and exceptional customer service. You should also have a passion for food safety and kitchen management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality food to customers
• Maintain foodservice displays to ensure they are fully stocked for business needs
• Manage inventory of prepared ingredients, ensuring compliance with temperature and shelf-life guidelines
• Ensures food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, and rotating of products
• Set up, break down, sanitize and maintain clean prep stations
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service through positive interactions
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and work effectively in a team
• Adhere to uniform, personal hygiene, and appearance standards
• Support opening and closing duties, including end-of-shift cleaning
• Maintain organized, safe, and clean work areas
• Follow safety and security standards diligently
• Performs all other duties as required or assigned by management

Cross-training responsibilities:

• Managing the cash register throughout the shift ensuring the money stays balanced and customers are assisted in a fast and accurate manner.
• Stocking products on shelves and making sure the store always looks clean and professional.
• Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to store customers, vendors, and staff at all times.
• Maintain a clean, customer friendly environment in the store and surrounding property
• Troubleshoot and resolve car wash related issue as needed
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift as per company guidelines
• Cross and upsell store products and sales to assist in increasing store sales
• Escalate any issues to their next level manager that needs immediate attention.
• Performs all other duties as required or assigned by management

Requirements

• Ability to bend down frequently and lift up to 50lbs
• Strong teamwork and punctuality skills
• Able to read, write and speak basic English
• Able to successfully complete consecutive 90-day probationary period
