The position requires training and motivating staff, ensuring visual standards, overseeing peak periods, and maintaining quality across food preparation and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years direct experience in a related role.
• Health department license or certification, Food Handlers, and/or alcohol certification as required by state or local rules.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse customers and peers.
• Resourceful self-starter who can work independently or in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Train, lead and motivate service and production staff.
• Ensure adherence to company visual and merchandising standards.
• Understand peak demand scheduling, floor coverage and supervision.
• Assess food quality and presentation and ensure quality control.
• Manage kitchen organization and inventory; place food and supply orders using established procedures.

The Supervisor leads a team of customer-facing, production and culinary colleagues who are dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service. Whether a customer is grabbing our world famous frozen yogurt or meeting a friend for a sit down meal, we rely on our restaurant team to deliver an exciting experience through stellar service, knowledge of menu selections and awareness of store happenings. At Bloomingdale's, our restaurants offer style in the form of creative culinary dishes and a wait staff that ensures a dining experience that is like no other.

Essential Functions

• Ability to train, lead and motivate service and production staff
• Ensure that company visual and merchandising standards are met and maintained
• Understanding of peak demand scheduling, floor coverage and supervision
• Ability to assess food quality and presentation and ensure quality control
• Understanding of kitchen organization and inventory, ability to place all food and supply orders using established procedures

Qualifications and Competencies

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years direct experience
• Health department license or certification, Food Handlers, and/or alcohol certification as required by state or local requirement
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping
• Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
• Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.
