Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to help run the dining operation, coach staff, and ensure fast, friendly service. You will manage ordering, food preparation, safety, and daily reporting; the role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset.

You will work with a dynamic team to uphold Love's standards, train associates, handle shift schedules, and support guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work varying shifts and days
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Frequent lifting of items over 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen with food-safety procedures
• Drive sales through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory, and food prep
• Assist the General Manager with task execution, safety practices, scheduling, cash integrity, and reporting
• Lead and develop team members in preparing and packaging orders to meet customer expectations
• Oversee dining room cleanliness and food prep areas
• Ensure restaurant equipment is properly maintained

You will assist in leading staff to provide exceptional customer service, managing processes, and executing strategies to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
• Assist the General Manager of the facility with proper task execution and completion, follow effective safety practices, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Work alongside team members to coach and develop in preparing and packaging customer orders in a timely manner and to maximize customer service expectations
• Oversee the cleanliness of the dining room and food preparation areas,
• Ensure all restaurant equipment is property maintained

Skills and Demands:

• Ability to work various shifts
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail
• Frequent lifting/moving of items over 50 pounds or more
