Job summary

Holiday Inn Lucedale is seeking a friendly Food & Beverage team member to ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver food and beverages with accuracy and care in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, restocking, handling payments, and staying informed about menu items and daily specials. High school education is required, along with some experience and TIPs certification.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Three - Six months experience in a food/beverage services environment or establishment.
  • Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
  • Must be TIPs certified.
  • Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.
  • Able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
  • Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience, adhering to service standards.
  • Complete restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side-work.
  • Maintain clean restaurant, wait-station, and kitchen service areas to meet health standards.
  • Take payments and ensure accuracy of guest checks and method of payment.
  • Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance product knowledge and communication.
  • Present a clean, professional appearance and friendly demeanor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
