Job summary

Overton Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a friendly Restaurant Server for a seasonal, part-time role from 08/01/2026 to 01/01/2027. You will deliver attentive service, take orders, and help ensure a memorable dining experience for guests in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate brings hospitality passion, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certification in food handling and TABC is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Ability to read instructions, perform basic math and cash handling, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Restaurant Server Part Time (SEASONAL 08/01/2026 -- 01/01/2027)

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to provide excellent service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is guest-focused and passionate about hospitality.

Certifications: Food Handler and TABC Certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting and seating guests, managing dining reservations, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring prompt, courteous service.
• Answer guest inquiries, communicate menu items and specials, handle customer concerns, process payments, take room service orders, and support food and beverage operations.
• Coordinate dining room staff activities, maintain accurate cash handling, verify age for alcohol service, and provide guests with hotel and local information while following company service standards and policies.

Education & Experience

Hotel experience is always a plus! Applicants should have:
