Job summary

Midas Hospitality is seeking a Restaurant Server to join our Food & Beverage team in Durango, CO. You will provide welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive service to guests to create memorable dining experiences.

Midas Hospitality is seeking an energetic, guest-focused, and service-driven Restaurant Server to join our Food & Beverage team. This role plays an important part in creating memorable dining experiences by providing welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive service to every guest.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Restaurant Server, you will provide high-quality food and beverage service while ensuring guests receive a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Greeting guests promptly and create a welcoming and friendly dining experience.
  • Present menus, explain food and beverage offerings, and answer guest questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond quickly to requests or concerns.
  • Utilize suggestive selling and upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and support restaurant revenue goals.
  • Prepare and process guest checks, handle cash and credit card transactions, and follow all payment procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, service stations, and equipment.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties according to restaurant standards.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and health department regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen associates, bartenders, hosts, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of daily specials, promotions, menu updates, and hotel offerings.
  • Support banquets, catering, or special event service as needed.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities and projects assigned by restaurant or hotel leadership.
What You Bring:
  • Previous restaurant, food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, POS systems, and cash handling procedures preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Alcohol service certification or food handler certification preferred where required by local or state regulations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, carrying trays, and repetitive use of hands throughout the shift. Candidates should be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a restaurant and hotel environment and may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, hot surfaces, kitchen equipment, and varying temperatures.
