Village on the Park Onion Creek in Austin, TX is seeking friendly Servers to deliver exceptional dining room service for residents and guests, including events. This part-time role runs 3:00p.m to 7:00p.m and requires weekend and holiday availability.

The position pays $16.00/hr. Qualifications include completion of an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, a High School Diploma or GED, and 6 months to 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet residents and guests with a smile and seat them comfortably.
• Take food orders, relay to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly.
• Ensure order accuracy and monitor food quality and presentation.
• Respond to resident and guest requests to ensure a top-notch dining experience.
• Pour and refill drinks in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Assist with setting tables, clearing dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove walkers from the dining room for safety and return after meals.
• Explain menu selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain professional appearance and hygiene per company policies.
• Attend all required in-service trainings and participate in emergency response team.

Pay Rate: $16.00/hr.

Part Time:

3:00p.m - 7:00p.m.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the dining room is spotless and beautifully set for all meals and events.
• Greet all residents and guests with a smile, ensuring everyone has a comfortable place to sit.
• Take food orders, present them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals promptly and efficiently.
• Guarantee the accuracy of orders and check food quality and presentation.
• Respond swiftly to resident and guest requests, ensuring their dining experience is top-notch.
• Ensure drinks are poured and refilled in a timely manner.
• Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards meticulously.
• Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste, and restocking inventory.
• Remove all walkers from the dining room to ensure safety and return them immediately after meals.
• Make each resident and guest feel special, showing genuine pleasure in serving them.
• Understand the menu fully and be able to explain the selections to residents and guests.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community’s emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
• Take on additional responsibilities with enthusiasm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain an accredited food handler certification within 60 days, as per State guidelines.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
