Job summary

Culinour is seeking a reliable Cook to join our dining team at a client site and grow with resident-focused dining. You will prepare ingredients, follow recipes, ensure food safety, and deliver high-quality, tasty meals for residents.

Responsibilities include cooking to standardized recipes, maintaining cleanliness, storing food safely, and working with a team to meet service schedules. Experience in healthcare or senior living is preferred; Servsafe is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Must be comfortable following recipes and working with technology (tablets).
  • Must be detailed oriented and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and be on call for emergencies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Must possess customer service skills; communicate with residents while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions for reading recipes, residents’ orders, and daily prep lists.
  • Must be able to multi-task and resolve issues simultaneously without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Culinary experience desired, ideally in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or similar setting.
  • Experience working as a line cook, preferred.
  • Servsafe Food Handler or Food Manager, preferred.
  • Possess understanding of cooking methods, procedures, and proper knife handling skills.
  • Above all, a positive attitude and willingness to learn and follow instructions so that you may become independent in your work.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion such as reaching, bending, stooping and hand, wrist, and body movement on-line cutting/preparing food items.
  • Ability to lift to a maximum of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to walk and stand 90% throughout shift.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable Cook with a desire to grow and learn to join our dining team of EMPLOYEE OWNERS at our client site. As a Cook, you will be responsible for delighting residents with delicious and high-quality meals. You will prepare ingredients and cook and prepare meals following recipes to ensure food safety, quality and consistency.
