Your daily pursuit is to lead our team of outstanding food & beverage professionals and ensure a stand-out Montana dining experience for our guests!

What will you do in this job?
  • Lead all aspects of front-of-house operations for our restaurant, bar, lounge, and seasonal patio service
  • Be highly visible and engaged on the floor, supporting staff during service, connecting with guests, and driving capture and revenue
  • Proactively anticipate challenges and implement systems that create efficiency, consistency, and smooth service flow
  • Build, train, and coach a high-performing FOH team with clear service standards, ongoing development, and corrective action when needed
  • Manage scheduling, labor forecasting, and daily coverage to balance guest demand with team support
  • Oversee FOH product ordering, inventory, and control of supplies including china, glass, silver, and paper
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef to align service and kitchen operations, conduct joint inventories, and execute successful events
  • Handle guest reservation requests and special dining experiences, communicating directly with guests to ensure expectations are exceeded
  • Monitor nightly sales, labor, and performance reports; contribute to monthly profit and loss statements with accountability for FOH results
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, support kitchen safety practices, and maintain readiness for health and safety inspections
  • Stay current on local dining trends and competitive offerings, making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Uphold Pursuit’s service culture, leading by example with professionalism, positivity, and a hands-on leadership style
  • Always keep guest experience and team morale at the forefront while fostering a collaborative “we’re in this together” culture
Skills and experience
  • 2+ years restaurant, bar, or café management experience preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of service standards and FOH operations
  • Serving and/or bartending experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with hospitality POS and scheduling systems
  • Strong financial acumen around labor, food, and beverage cost controls
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • High energy and floor presence with a natural ability to connect with both guests and staff
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean, safe environment for guests and staff
  • Flexible, positive, and calm under pressure – ready to adapt when the unexpected happens
  • Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and fun to the job every day
