Overview

Restaurant Manager – Cordova, TN. The Restaurant Manager is responsible for daily operations and ensuring customer satisfaction while managing profitability on the shift.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales during the shift.
• Build sales by promoting customer satisfaction and enhancing service quality.
• Control costs by monitoring crew prep, production, and procedural execution.
• Track waste levels and monitor food costs to eliminate waste.
• Monitor product quality during the shift, discuss quality with customers and provide feedback to crew.
• Take corrective action to improve service times and solicit customer feedback.
• Establish and communicate daily speed of service (S.O.S.) goals.
• Train crew on cleanliness, following the restaurant cleaning plan and correcting deficiencies.
• Train crew on new products and use the Crew Orientation and Training process.
• Ensure crew meets prep and production goals by following flowcharts.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain product availability.
• Maintain security of cash, product, and equipment during shifts.
• Follow restaurant priorities set by the General Manager or District Manager.
• Ensure safe working conditions by following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain cash control, report accidents promptly, and resolve operational issues outlined by Health Department inspectors.
• Follow preventive maintenance procedures and train crew to maintain equipment.
• Manage employee relations, performance, retention, and communication.
• Ensure execution of standards and achieve a Q.S.C. level of 80% or better.
• Manage shifts effectively using the “Managing Better Shifts” checklist or similar guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• General knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
• Ability to quickly learn and train others in Wendy’s systems (e.g., WeLearn) and employee development programs.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift 25–50 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, and use a headset; ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with noise and temperature variations.
• Strong customer orientation, professionalism, composure, and discretion when expediting or resolving customer concerns.
• Team‑player with strong communication skills.
• Flexible to work a 40‑hour work week, various shifts, day parts, and days of the week.
• Must have and maintain ServSafe certification.
