Responsibilities
  • Must have extensive Food and Beverage Operations background.
  • Supervisory and management experience in hotel and/or casino environment required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Food and Beverage operations.
  • Hires, retains, motivates, evaluates and manages team members in the restaurants, ensuring team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish objectives.
  • Reviews activities in all restaurants in order to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence quality guest service and profitability.
  • Establishes restaurant standards, guidelines and objectives and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate all reporting departments in order to ensure the proper planning for short and long‑term strategies; monitors and evaluates performance of all restaurants in order to facilitate ongoing improvement of operations and financial return.
  • Reviews strengths and weaknesses of restaurant operations, such as cost of sales, inventory par levels, and general policies and procedures in order to most effectively implement changes to improve operations and most efficiently allocate resources.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a professional, courteous and responsive manner, which reflects positively on Penn Entertainment, Inc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other cast members of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Intermediate Computer skills.
  • Serve safe certified or equivalent. Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent motivational skills required.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
  • The team member is frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member is occasionally required to sit.
  • The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The team member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Assists in preparation of Food and Beverage Budget. Reviews and responds to P&L statements. Attends P&L Review meetings to clarify reasons for discrepancies.

  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
  • Able to work in constricting areas

  • Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
