Job summary

JEM Restaurant Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support Taco Bell and Pizza Hut locations across the Charleston market. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair building systems, and travel between sites to keep restaurants safe and running efficiently.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems, and experience with CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems.
• HVAC/R and EPA certification strongly preferred.
• Residential painting experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of CMMS systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel throughout the Charleston area.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment and building systems.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, and other facility issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics and manuals.
• Complete residential painting and other facility projects as needed.
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools and repair supplies.
• Use CMMS to document maintenance activities.
• Travel between restaurant locations throughout the Charleston market.
• Work independently while communicating effectively with leadership and the maintenance team.
