Job summary

TICE Chicken Holdings, LLC, operating Popeyes restaurants, seeks a reliable HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and routine service across multiple Alabama locations. The role focuses on rooftop HVAC and restaurant refrigeration systems with an emphasis on proactive inspections and issue identification.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, understanding commercial rooftop HVAC and refrigeration equipment, and maintaining thorough service

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration experience required.
• Rooftop HVAC units knowledge and service experience.
• Experience with walk-in coolers/freezers is preferred.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures for commercial systems.
• Knowledge of electrical controls and components.
• EPA certification preferred/required as applicable.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel between multiple restaurant locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units.
• Inspect HVAC units, electrical components, motors, belts, fans, coils, drains and other components for proper operation.
• Clean condenser and evaporator coils as part of routine PM service.
• Check refrigerant systems and identify signs of leaks or performance issues.
• Inspect and clean condensate drains and pans.
• Inspect blower motors, fan assemblies, belts, bearings and other moving components.
• Check thermostats and controls for proper operation.
• Inspect ductwork, dampers, vents and registers.
• Replace HVAC filters according to the required monthly service schedule.
• Perform seasonal tune-ups and general HVAC inspections.
• Identify equipment showing signs of failure and report recommended repairs or replacement needs.
• Maintain accurate records of completed PM services and equipment conditions.
