Job summary

Hoogland Restaurant Group, owner of Marco's Pizza locations, is seeking a General Manager who can lead a team, deliver outstanding product quality and customer service, and drive sales while controlling costs. Relocation is encouraged as part of our expansion.

You will recruit and train store staff, manage scheduling and payroll, and build relationships with guests to uphold our mission of serving one meal, one family, one neighborhood at a time.

Qualifications

• 3 years of leadership experience.
• 1 year of restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to lead up to 20 team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop people to deliver outstanding product quality and customer service, and drive sales while controlling costs.
• Build and execute store plans, including marketing initiatives and KPI tracking.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, benefits, and HR reporting to ensure smooth store operations.

As the General Manager, you will lead and develop people to execute outstanding product quality and customer service, build sales and control costs for the restaurant. We are thrilled to bring aboard an individual that is both willing and eager to relocate as a key component and driving force in our successful expansion.

People

What you will bring to the role:

• Demonstrate and reinforce Marco's leadership behaviors and values.
• Create an environment that promotes the company culture and philosophies to attract, retain and develop our people.
• Source and interview all store employees to ensure they will embrace our values, including a strong dedication to customer satisfaction.
• Training team members on company processes, customer service, and updated policies and procedures to ensure we are a world class operation.
• Ensure all aspects of human resources are followed including scheduling, payroll, benefits, performance reviews and reporting to the home office as requested.
• Plan and coordinate leadership team meetings with Assistant Manager, Shift Leads, and Manager in Training.

Product

• Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure appropriate inventory par levels and ordering system are in place.
• Complete weekly inventory.
• Complete end of period inventory.

Management

• Ensure standards are maintained for product quality, service speed and quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
• Complete inventory reporting, ensure appropriate inventory par levels are met and ordering system is in place.
• Accountable for creating store Action Plans including marketing to continuously improve the business.
• Accountable for weekly KPIs and plan to achieve goals
• Ensure the store and exterior of the property are maintained.
• Ensure proper security and verification procedures are met when handling deposits and the contents of the safe.

Requirements

• 3 years of leadership experience, required
• 1 year of restaurant experience, preferred
• Ability to lead up to 20 team members
• Willing to work about 50 hours per week including some Saturdays and Sundays
