Overview

As General Manager, you will reinforce these values, build a strong team, and ensure the restaurant delivers the best guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate the entire restaurant, leading a team that consistently provides great food and friendly service.
- Guide team members and Shift Leaders, ensuring all duties are completed and food is served safely, with high quality.
- Schedule and deploy the team accurately; monitor performance and hold team members accountable to standards.
- Drive fast, friendly customer service and maintain a superior customer experience.
- Maintain the point‑of‑sale system, report failures, and verify download accuracy for pricing and menu updates.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met, and comply with all local, state, and federal laws and guidelines.
- Build unity within the team by fostering cross‑functional relationships and resolving employee issues promptly.
- Motivate the team through active listening, communication, and coaching; promote a recognition culture.
- Represent Border Foods in handling customer complaints, seeking effective solutions.
- Develop short‑term and long‑term strategies for restaurant success, using P&L data to drive profitability.
- Source, hire, and develop excellent team members; conduct new‑hire orientation and training plans.
- Implement cash handling policies, labor, inventory, and waste controls to minimize loss.
- Build team capabilities by providing learning and development opportunities and career guidance.
- Share ideas and leverage tools that foster individual and business growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of restaurant or retail experience, or equivalent education.
- Experience with sales building, P&L statements, recruiting, and training.
- Proven track record of successful hiring and retention.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ServeSafe Certified.
- Willingness to work early morning, evenings, late night, weekends, and some holidays; schedule may change.
