Neiman Marcus is seeking a Restaurant Dishwasher to maintain a pristine dish and kitchen environment, supporting high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in a luxury dining context.

You will work with line cooks and front-of-house staff, adhering to health guidelines and safety procedures while contributing to the guest experience. This role requires physical stamina and flexibility, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep dish, trash, and floors areas clean and organized to high health standards.
• Maintain dish machine and ensure chemicals are stocked and functioning.
• Report any malfunctions to Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef.
• Keep chemical testers on hand and use sanitizing materials correctly.
• Manage trash disposal and organize dish area with pots, pans, sinks, and silverware.
• Wash pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware efficiently.
• Exercise caution with breakables; keep floors clean from spills and trash.
• Assist with additional cleaning in kitchen as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with line cooks and front-of-house staff.
• Uphold health and sanitation standards per Neiman Marcus and auditors.

YOU WILL BE:

The Restaurant Dishwasher focuses on keeping up overall restaurant cleanliness to see to it that guests have the level of food and beverage service to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Primarily focuses on keeping the dish, trash, and floors areas clean and organized to the highest level of Health and Kitchen standard
• Maintains dish machine by:
• Checking for chemicals in dish machine to see they are filled and ready
• Understanding how to use dish machine
• Reporting any malfunctions to the Restaurant Manager or Executive Chef
• Keeping chemical testers on hand
• Knows how to use all sanitizing materials used for cleaning
• Checks trash periodically and removes if full
• Organizes dish area with all solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver
• Maintains a pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware
• Exercises caution when working with breakables (e.g., dishes and glassware)
• Keeps floors clean from spills, grease, and general trash
• Assists with preparation and additional cleaning throughout kitchen as needed
• Maintains a professional relationship with all line cooks, coworkers, chef, and front-of-the-house staff
• Upholds all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Neiman Marcus, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors

Salary Range $19.61 - $24.51*

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.
