Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation, and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant.
• Work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.
• Follow company standards for food preparation, handling, and serving.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish and English, and interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to the preparation, handling and serving of food.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra credit).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra credit).
