Job summary

Primanti Bros in State College, PA is seeking a Restaurant and Bar Security team member to maintain a friendly, professional presence and ensure a safe environment for fans.

You will greet guests, verify IDs, manage the bar area, assist with pre-busing, handle cash accurately, and follow safety protocols while helping with end-of-night cleanup and restocking, while communicating effectively with management and using radios as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Capability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping.
• Physical strength to deliver food, beverages, and clear tables, potentially involving lifting up to 50 lbs.
• At least 1 year of previous Bar Security experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• Ability to operate a POS system for processing orders and payments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, courteous demeanor and always present a professional appearance.
• Extend a warm welcome to each Fan, including opening doors when possible.
• Properly card/check ID for entrance into the bar.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the benefit of all fans.
• Utilize a wait management system to optimize restaurant flow during peak times.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the food and drink menu to assist customers with inquiries.
• Assist in table/bar pre-busing as needed.
• Communicate customer inquiries or concerns to management as appropriate.
• Maintain accuracy in cash handling and balance cash drawers as required.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols throughout shifts.
• Communicate using two-way talk radios and wearing an earpiece.
• Completion of all required training classes for position.
• Maintain cleanliness and supplies of restrooms and assist with end of night cleaning.
• Stock and restock bar, including moving and changing kegs as needed throughout the shift.
• Maintain security for all doors of the restaurant and security of the kitchen.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
