Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a data analyst to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and drive business growth in Illinois.

You will build reports and dashboards (Tableau preferred), apply statistical methods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate findings into strategic recommendations and improved processes. Strong Excel, SQL, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role or technical internship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proficient in Excel with advanced functions and financial modeling.
• Intermediate SQL experience for querying and data manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
• Knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, and validation.
• Strong statistics, forecasting, and regression analysis basics.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or similar languages is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and collaborative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Apply statistical techniques to extract actionable information.
• Develop data-driven insights to address business challenges and growth.
• Translate findings into clear business implications.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar tools.
• Build financial models to forecast performance and evaluate initiatives.
• Present findings to management and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical projects and provide support.
• Monitor KPIs and track performance for optimization opportunities.
• Identify and implement data quality improvements and process enhancements.
