Job summary

CARC-Advocates for Citizens with Disabilities, Inc. is seeking a janitorial assistant to serve patrons at the Lake City Rest Areas. Duties include cleaning restrooms interior and exterior, maintaining storage areas, and assisting motorists with information and aid.

The role emphasizes safety, timely attendance, and adherence to facility rules. Reports to work on schedule and performs other duties as assigned under contract with the customer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Knowledge of Rest Area janitorial practices or commercial janitorial services.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize rest rooms interior daily; additional cleaning as needed.
• Clean and maintain rest room exterior daily; additional cleaning as needed.
• Keep storage area neat and organized.
• Remove trash and debris from grass and paved areas daily.
• Empty garbage cans and replace liners daily.
• Clean picnic facilities every day.
• Assist motorists with information and aid at all times.
• Prioritize safety in all work operations.
• Arrive on time and start at scheduled time.
• Store tools, equipment, and chemicals in designated places.
• Promote adherence to Association rules; work as a team.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work scope may vary per customer contract.
