Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Consultant / Senior Consultant in AI Risk Management to lead the development and execution of robust AI risk programs for client initiatives. The role blends advanced technology risk, ethics, and practical governance to enable trustworthy AI across lifecycles.

You will collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, legal, and executives to implement governance structures, risk assessments, and monitoring capable of scaling AI in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of combined experience in AI/ML development, AI governance, risk management, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning systems, including monitoring and deployment.
• Proven experience designing AI governance frameworks, policies and operating models.
• Deep knowledge of NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act and related standards.
• Experience conducting AI risk assessments and stakeholder engagement across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AI risk assessments for high-impact AI systems.
• Design and implement risk-tiering methodologies and AI inventories.
• Develop technical controls, monitoring, alerting, and logging for AI platforms.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, legal, compliance and executives to align risk with business goals.
• Oversee testing, validation, and governance processes for responsible AI deployments.
• Build AI oversight structures, governance workflows and review boards.
