Responsible AI Manager - Agentic AI Governance
What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Responsible AI Manager, Agentic AI sits within the Amgen Responsible AI team in the Artificial Intelligence & Data Science organization. You will play a key role in shaping and operationalizing practical, risk-based governance for agentic AI across Amgen, helping ensure these technologies can be used broadly, responsibly, and with appropriate controls. By enabling innovation at scale while protecting trust, quality, safety, and compliance, this work helps Amgen advance AI responsibly in support of its mission.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of governance approaches for agentic AI, partnering with AI platform and product owners, data science teams, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, privacy, and quality functions.
  • Translate Responsible AI expectations, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements into actionable governance requirements, operational processes, and user guidance.
  • Define governance requirements for technical controls and safeguards, such as usage restrictions, access controls, human oversight, logging, anomaly detection, incident escalation, and mechanisms to pause, restrict, or disable AI-enabled functionality when appropriate.
  • Monitor emerging AI technologies, risks, standards, and regulatory developments; assess their impact on the enterprise, and evolve governance frameworks, standards, and controls to enable responsible adoption of new AI capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain Responsible AI policies, standards, playbooks, procedures, guidance, and other control documentation to support consistent AI governance, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Develop materials for leadership, governance forums, and cross-functional working groups, communicating risks, recommendations, decisions, implementation progress, and governance outcomes to support informed decision-making.
