Job summary

Saratoga Ascend is hiring a Respite Care Worker/Home Services in Gaithersburg, MD to provide compassionate, hands-on care to individuals with daily living and medical needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with feeding, dressing, hygiene, mobility, administering medications and operating basic medical equipment, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with families and care teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in special needs care (or relevant degree/certification: LPN, RN).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• TB test clearance and ability to pass background checks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, empathetic demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Support daily activities including feeding, dressing, hygiene, and mobility.
• Administer medications and operate specialized medical equipment (e.g., feeding pumps, suction devices).
• Provide care for individuals with complex medical conditions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with families and care teams.
• Ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.
