Job summary

Visiting Angels of Claremont is seeking a Respite At Home Caregiver to support clients in the Upper Connecticut River Valley, including Lebanon, NH and nearby towns. This role offers daytime hours, competitive wages, and a meaningful, flexible career helping clients maintain independence.

As a caregiver, you will assist with personal care, light exercise, meal planning, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and safety monitoring, with wage opportunities ranging from $18 to $22 per

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable with strong time-management.
• Must be able to follow care plans and instructions.
• Must have valid driver's license and transportation.
• Comfort with personal care, mobility support, and light housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

As a Visiting Angels Respite At Home Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

Respite At Home Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent


• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must


• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)


• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once


• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care


• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client


• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints


• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)


• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
