City of Richland seeks a Respiratory Therapist to monitor and assess patients’ respiratory status across all areas, including the emergency department, medical/surgical, and special care units.
The role performs complete pulmonary function testing, initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintains patient records, and selects, assembles, checks and operates respiratory equipment. Requires an Associates Degree and Wisconsin certification; Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred.
Under the direction of the Manager of Respiratory Care, the Respiratory Therapist monitors and assesses patients’ respiratory status in all areas including special care, medical / surgical and the emergency department plus performing complete pulmonary function testing. The respiratory therapist assesses, treats and cares for patients of all age groups from infants to the elderly. Initiates and conducts therapeutic procedures, maintains patient records, and selects, assembles, checks and operates equipment.
Valid BLS within 3 months, ACLS within 6 months and NRP within 1 year
