Baptist Health System seeks a Respiratory Therapist Lead at North Central Baptist Hospitals in San Antonio to coordinate Respiratory Care staff, supervise in the absence of leadership, and deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires 1 year of clinical experience, Texas license (RCP) and NBRC CRT/RRT, plus essential certifications. Leadership and staff development are key aspects of the position within a supportive hospital system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AMA Respiratory Care program.
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care clinical experience.
• Preferred supervisory experience.
• Current RCP State of Texas License and NBRC CRT/RRT certification; renewal every 5 years unless grandfathered.
• BLS mandatory; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises all aspects of respiratory care under Medical Director/Department Director guidance.
• Participates in staff interviews and performance evaluations; provides coaching and disciplinary support as needed.
• Responds to patient-care needs and emergent situations to maintain safety and quality.
• Maintains regulatory compliance by keeping competencies and documentation up to date.
• Performs quality control on equipment and responsible for accurate electronic documentation.
