Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Respiratory Therapy student to provide patient care under the supervision of a credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner. You will assist with delivering therapy orders and help monitor supplies in the department.

This hourly position emphasizes hands-on experience, basic EMR documentation, and adherence to established procedures. Enrollment must be in an accredited RT program and actively pursued.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapist program and completed the first semester.
• Must remain active in the program to maintain employment status and cannot exceed three years from start to finish.
• Must have a current American Heart BLS card.
• Must have basic electronic medical record documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by the physician.
• Monitor supplies and equipment for department and stock patient care areas.
• Perform respiratory services under supervision of a credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner.
