Position Overview

PRN - Days. 12‑hour shifts from 7 am to 7 pm. Work as needed around school schedule – weekdays or weekends.

What You Will Do

• Provide respiratory therapy in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and the Respiratory Services Standards of Care.
• Administer therapeutic procedures including CPT & PD, aerosol therapy, MDI, IPPB, incentive spirometry, oxygen management, pneumogram setup, ECG/holter monitoring, and pulmonary function screening.
• Perform airway management and mechanical ventilator management.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about disease processes and treatment plans.
• Maintain knowledge of hemodynamic and pharmaceutical interactions that may affect patient status, and take appropriate steps to correct or notify the relevant clinician.

Essential Qualifications

Individuals must be able to work the specified hours and meet the essential job functions. Requirements include adequate visual acuity, effective communication skills, hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech and other sounds.

Required Education, Licensure, and Experience

• Some college; currently enrolled in an AMA‑approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner Temporary Permit – active in the state of practice, or
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – active in the state of practice upon hire.

Preferred Education, Licensure, and Experience

• High School or GED Equivalency.
• 1–3 years of related experience.
