Job summary

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the NBRC.
  • Current Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Monitor and record patient responses to treatment.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Maintain and operate ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
  • Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and update patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies.
  • Ensure all equipment is sanitized, functional, and complies with safety standards.
