Job summary

Lower Umpqua Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform respiratory care, EKG, and related procedures in a patient-centered environment.

The role requires RRT certification, ACLS and BLS, and PALS within six months of hire, with duties spanning ventilation management, emergency response, pulmonary testing, and documentation. This is an in-person, non-exempt position in Oregon's coast region.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.
• Must be credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Perform nebulizer treatments and lung expansion therapy.
• Administer and titrate oxygen and perform pulse oximetry.
• Obtain arterial blood gases and interpret results.
• Provide airway care and ventilator management including extubation support.
• Document all therapies in the EMR and manage billing forms.
